What is bluetooth?! Well in Layman's terms, bluetooth is an application that allows devices to transmit data over a short range in space. For example, take your laptop, bluetooth earpiece for your phone, and your phone itself. These little gadgets and gizmos most probably are intertwined with your life and hold a great importance. Simply, most phones, and laptops have bluetooth built in. The basic symbol for bluetooth is usually a little blue sign in phones and computers that looks like two triangles.
The primary use of bluetooth is to send files over to another device without having to connect to the internet, or web infrastructure. This lets you seemlessly transfer music files, data files, photos, or anything your heart desires, and comes in pretty handy when talkin on the phone.
I'm going to give you a short example of how bluetooth works, say I and a buddy have cellphones. I take a hilarious video of my teacher doing an incredibly annoying dance in class and I decide to whip out my cellphone and record it. I push record and start video recording this tragicly funny event. Later on that day, I bump into my friend who wants to have the video as well. I simply find his own cellphone with mine, connect them using wireless data transmission, and simply send it to him in a snap. Pretty easy huh! Amazing how technology works these years. Which brings me up to my next point.
How is this technology effecting our every day life? I can live off blue tooth any day, its not really incorporated into my own life style and I would say the majority of Americans can go without bluetooth as well. It's not a neccissity, but provides the luxury of not having to use another set of cables to transfer data.
Blue tooth has actually only been introduced for a short amount of time on the market, for about 8 years now. It has self implications to be a great advancement later on that might yield other applications useful in life down the road. But as for now, bluetooth is a little companion in our life that lets us share ourselfs to people close to us.
If, you found my article to be extremely dull or boring, heres bluetooth in a nutshell. Bluetooth is an application that is integrated into common devices such as computers, phones, PDA's, mp3 players, and so on. It lets the transfer of data possible without having to use cables, but also has a short distance range such as that of a Ad Hoc network. Bluetooth has been integrated into our life styles, but has not yet been a deep impact like the internet has. Bluetooth is a simple luxury, that might yield greater altercations in the future, but for now, is in the early stages. Thank you for taking your time to read my article, hope you do not dislike my voice I put in my articles.
