Under the dimly lit forest,
I hand myself a gift. Limbs-
blow and sway in the mist,
leaves falling one by one.
Each flutters as it tumbles
down to the damp ground-
their wispy nature punctuated
by the drip drop of the dew drops.
I know my time has come-
My only chance is now-
For inner peace can be fleeting,
fleeting as a summer breeze.
I open my hand-
My mind senses quiet-
it's now completely still. My calm
has come; My serenity- honed.
In my hand lay an olive branch-
Its leaves are wet; they glisten
under the moonlight. Each twig-
knotted and complex, but peaceful.

Poetry: Inner peace
"My Peace Affirmation"
We see our past thoughts and wishes
Reflected back to us
Coming again into consciousness
Variou s kinds
A Spirit deep within me
Was yearning to be free.
To soar above with eagles;
And skim high above the trees.
But angered winds
Inner Peace
Closing her eyes and looking inside
"there's a calm she feels" no restless tide.
There is quiet, there is rest
by Toni Doswell
Only God gives inner peace
A peace not of this earth
For on this earth we hurt and pain
Reaching for the moon and falling
Winds of Peace & Hope
I woke from my slumber
To the gentle patter of rain
Gazing from my window in my loft
What do I see?
