Its a sad state of affairs when the presidential debate is all about what he said, did or didn't do or slinging mud at each other instead of the real reason they are there. Did they forget we don't want to know all about their past because you see you can leave that behind you and move on in a brighter direction. What we are concerned about is our future! Tell us what exactly you are going to do to help America and not what each have or have not done in the past.
I for one know that you can change the way you were by looking into tomorrow for the answers and not relying on the past where you got it wrong. How come they just can't come out and say "Hey we are both running for President and here is what I propose to do to help America. Whatever I did before isn't going to dictate how I react in the future. Give me a chance to prove to you that I can make a better America."
No, they have to get out there and say all kinds of ugly things about each other. We are a Christian Country, but none of us are acting like it. We are acting like a bunch of monkeys running around chasing our tails and living in the past. Move forward America, get your feet out of the mud where you have been stuck for so long and voice your opinion. Don't follow the lead of the men that want to be our next President because as you can surely tell the only change either of them will make is from their house to the White House. I'm aggravated that it has come to this.
How can you vote for someone who can't find one nice thing to say about his opponent? Whats he going to say about us? I am voting but I tell you now, I'm not happy about either one of these men because they leave a lot to be desired in how they will run our Country. They leave a bad taste in my mouth because I know that they are only looking out for themselves and if we get anything out of either of them, it will be very little. I understand that they are already getting a beaten up economy and the government is a mess, but they are the ones that wanted to run for President. No one twisted their arms!
They both talk the talk but can they walk the walk? I have my doubts and I challenge both of them to start planning for our futures and put more energy into that instead of digging up more dirt on each other. I'm tired of it, I hate to turn the tv on because its all negative. How can any of us feel comfortable about picking one of them when all their dirt has been swept to our front doors. What can we look forward to if we can't depend on either one of them to be positive about anything except the faults of the other? Sorry about the rant, but wake up, smell the corruption, and pray America, pray! God has to be in charge of this mess because obviously none of us are. God Bless America and may God have mercy on each and every one of us when this election is over with. Think about it! If anything is going to change, it has to be us, the American people!
Thanks for letting me air my mind today, these are things I would like to say to them, but would they listen, would they care? Most likely not! Prayer Changes things, so lets pray! Mary American
