Every thing you wanted ended up in your hands
No matter if it was a gift or a direct demand
If you wanted gold she would dig through dry sand
If you needed attention she was your number one fan
She never once questioned your motive
All the times you got heated, fired up, and exploded
Standing there yelling with your arms folded
She still stood by your side loyal and devoted
She didn't know why but you made her feel bliss
There was something she felt in your passionate kiss
Every minute you were away, you were fully missed
Never thought an individual could make her feel like this
You were the only one she really wanted to believe in
Her love for you didn't change with the passing seasons
People questioned her love, she couldn't give them a reason
They say 'I have a million explanations for you to leave him'
When you had nobody she would have your back
When you took the wrong path she'd put you on track
When you couldn't cover the tab and the bills start to stack
She would work double shifts to cover your slack
She started catching you in lies, you'd be quick to debate
You'd turn it around on her and swiftly manipulate
Her trust for you started to slowly evaporate
Continued to deceit, she threatened to segregate
Right before you'd fall, shed comfort you before you landed
Thought she'd always be there, you took her love for granted
Gave you her all, but you left her empty-handed
Except with an idea to leave you abandoned
You recognized what you had when she decided to depart
You finally realized she held the key to your heart
Consumed with other things, you didn't play it smart
Now that she's finished, you want to go back to the start
You begged for forgiveness, you started to plead
Contemplated a way to replant the dead seed
If you had another chance you promise you'd feed
Help the relationship grow by supplying what it needs
You insistently sought after a second chance
But to her it was a thousand stabs at romance
Back then she'd show pain, around the issue you would dance
Warned to leave you, you looked no deeper than a glance
Now you sit in silence by yourself all alone
Sitting and waiting around by the phone
Wishing you'd wake up next to her in your home
On your worst enemy this feeling you wouldn't condone
She couldn't be with someone she felt didn't love her
When you placed everything and everyone else above her
She left you comparing her to every other
Left you exactly how you left her to suffer

Goodnight my Love
Goodnight my love the bleeding twilight dies swift
Overshadowed by night’s dark air brushed monotone
I see the sadness in your eyes
Give me a smile and no more cries
I've fought and lost. Death you have won
As I drift now towards
