Recipes: Chicken fettuccine alfredo

If you love Italian food and you love cooking then this recipe will be perfect for you. Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo is very easy to make whether you are cooking for a family or cooking for a romantic date. I have tried many Alfredo recipes over the past few months, but I always seem to come back to this particular one. I thought I would share it with everyone else since it is my favorite and so many people like Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo.




Ingredients:




1 9oz. pkg. fettuccine noodles

Cup butter or margarine

Garlic Powder (to taste)

3 Tablespoons chopped parsley flakes

Pint whipping cream (I use the heavy whipping cream)

1 egg beaten

1 Cup shredded cheese (Monterey Jack, Cheddar, or Velveeta works best)

Cup grated parmesan cheese

Black pepper (to taste)

Grilled chicken strips (as much as you prefer, cut into 1 inch pieces)




Directions:

Make sure to make the noodles first because it will take longer than the sauce!




Sauce:

Melt butter in saucepan. Once melted add your garlic and let simmer for a few minutes. Now in a separate bowl beat your egg. Use a whisk to stir, and add the parsley, black pepper, and cream. Stir well and then add the egg mixture into the saucepan. Once the mixture is hot, add shredded cheese and stir until completely melted. Next add your parmesan cheese and your chicken strips.




Note: Don't let the mixture get too hot, or it will burn and stick to the bottom of your pan!




Noodles:

Cook noodles according to box directions. Drain noodles, return to pan and pour sauce over them and blend. Add a little extra parmesan cheese. Serve immediately!
