I am a registered Independent. I am independent, yet conservative in my views and ideas. I believe that "We the People" of this United States have a lot on the line this election. I often refer to the profound words of a great president John F Kennedy, when making decisions regarding who will be our next president. Those words are "Ask not what your country can do for you, but ask what you can do for your country". If you really think about those words and then look at the platform of each candidate, the decision should be quite easy. That is why I am voting for John McCain and Sarah Palin this November. Why? <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /

I will do the best I can to explain simply why. Those words spoken by John Kennedy were profound. The reason they are so important in this election, almost 50 years later, is because it appears as though Barack Obama wants to have the government do for you what you should and can do for yourselves. Though very noble sounding, it is highly dangerous to a republic that allows for and promotes democracy. We have a 10 trillion dollar debt that has been growing for decades because the government wants to do for us. I work for a small business. It has 30 employees, yet it makes more than $250,000 a year. The owner is not wealthy by any means, yet her taxes will dramatically increase with Obama as president. That could wipe out her business altogether. Not just the business I work for, but my family owned a small water conditioning business when I was growing up. For many years that small company made much more than $250,000 a year, yet every year they showed a loss. When you factor in salaries, wages, insurance, utilities, rent or mortgage, supplies, products, vehicles, maintenance, gas, and so forth. It easily chews up any profit there may be. It is common sense to think about this, just because a business makes more than $250,000 does not mean that the owner makes that much. Not at all. In fact, a
