You watch me as I stand on the footsteps of death,
For an eternal moment I lay stiff, alive with new life.
As I walk through fields of memory, you stroke my silent face,
Holding my hands of ice, as i am taken from darkness by light.
You watch me as I fall into sodden earth,
But I see only clouds of silver, of life.
Now I watch you as you struggle,
As you speak but no words do you find.
I take you by the hand and welcome you home,
And we sail together as angles of the sky.
