Mysteries Of The Heart
Our paths have crossed
In the realm of fate
We met within crossroads
Never knowing what lay ahead
But I knew, I just knew
The happiness and sunshine, no matter how grand
Precedes the darkening rain
With Demons I fall to my knees
I pleaded to MY god for mercy and wellness
Then there comes the peace I so long for
Every night I would gaze into the stars
As perennial blossoms wither
And wished you were beside me
Holding me close, without seethe
Presence misting the air
With scent of myriad verdant
I purge wicked past to the heavens with agony
Discouraged will and determination, the skies may break
Alas! Would the ray of sun envelope?
Would YOU be there?
Life is never without reason
But suspended in life itself
As the heart is mysterious phenomenon
Not only to maintain life
But to cast a shadow of love
And spirit, never to die
Yet I am crippled with my Demons
How I wish you were near
To whisper things that sooth the anxiety of my life
And cast the shadow of caring
Allowing the birth true of heart
A spirit held so dear
