Dog hotels: Preppy Pet Suites

My Daisy Mae is the most special dog to me and when I leave her I will not leave her in just any old kennel. I used to leave my other dogs with the veterinarian, but this dog is special and I am afraid that there would be a fire and no one would be around to let her out and I don't like the idea that she would be locked up in a kennel the whole time except for a little out door time.

So when we had to go away for a week, I searched and searched the Internet and the phone books to see what I could find. I found the most perfect place for her. It was a doggie Bed and Breakfast and we too had to take her for a trial overnight. She passed with flying colors.

The people who run this place truly love dogs and also the people who work there. You can tell it by the tone in their voices and the love they show the dogs. Each size dog is kept in a room according to size. The is the Tatter Tot Room which is for the miniature and Toy dogs. Next is the Couch Potato Room which is for the dogs that are larger but do not like to play around much. They like to lay around on the couches and chairs and watch TV or listen to the radio.

Next is the Geriatic Room which is for the dogs that are sick, have had surgery or are of advanced age, These are the quiet dogs.

The Last and not least is the Wild Party Room. Guess which room my Yellow Lab goes into. I think she is the princess of the room.

She parties so hard that after she comes home she sleeps for days. In fact she almost has to be carried to the car and sleeps all the way home. We check on her many times to see if she is still breathing.

What I like about this boarding place, it is so clean. Sheet are taken off the couches and chairs 3 times a day, they are fed with their own food according to the way you feed them. There are open doors that they can go in and out all day long. My dog has made many friends while there

When I call late at night, there is always someone there, they will tell me they just looked in on her and she is cuddled together with a couple of other labs on a couch sound asleep, totally wore out. I can picture it in my mind. This time when I called I was told that she had a boy friend. A black and white Springer Spaniel that she had been playing with the whole time she had been there.

When we come to pick her up she is so happy to see us and her rear end is wiggling faster than she can walk.

But the next time when we take her there, she is happy to go there and does not get upset.

For us this is a win win situation.
