learn to meditate and visualize yourself having achieved your weight loss goal. Do this by finding a quiet place to sit. Close your eyes and begin to calm your spirit and release the tensions of the day by breathing deeply. Once you are relaxed, picture yourself at your goal weight. Visualize sliding those jeans on and zipping them easily, or wearing that bathing suit confidently. Feel the feelings associated with achieving your goal. Feel the excitement of stepping on the scale and seeing your goal weight. As you begin to truly feel your success, you are empowering yourself and allowing God to work in you. Once you have achieved your goal in your mind and heart, allow yourself to be grateful. Thank God for the body you know is on its way. Thank Him for the ability to reach your goal. Carry that joy and gratitude with you throughout your day. Carry the excitement of knowing that God is helping you be successful. This is the deep, spiritual knowing that is called faith.
Incorporating faith and prayer into your weight loss efforts will reduce the actual effort involved and help you reach your goals faster and easier than you may have thought possible. It will also enable you to find joy and fulfillment in the process of transforming your body. So, continue to count your calories and track your exercise but increase your odds of success by including prayer. It may just be the missing link you have been looking for.
