Join a support group:
At times we need others to understand how we are truly feeling with our accomplishments even our shortcomings. Online communities or local support groups offer a super outlet for you and similar minded people to compare notes, swap ideas and offer support and encouragement.
Fresh fruit:
Fruit contains a high level of healthy sugar (fructose). The body breaks down fructose at a much slower rate reducing the amount of sugar craving you will have dramatically. By snacking on pieces of fruit rather than a chocolate bar at lunchtime you will automatically satisfy your sugar crave and produce a much healthier habit.
Avoid sweeteners:
Most of us feel that if we ditch the daily sugar intake in our morning coffee and load up on the wonderfully acclaimed sweeteners we will find salvation. Unfortunately at times substituting our daily sugar intake for sweeteners has resulted in a higher craving rate for the "real thing" sugar; in-turn people end up filling up on high calorie content such as sugar free soda.
Don't total rid your life of small little pleasures:
As soon as we tell ourselves we may not have something the want for that specific item becomes immediately stronger. If you do not totally eliminate sugar from your diet and allow the odd deserved treat you won't become prey to the increased need'.
Specialist have announced at times kicking your sugar habit can be as difficult as ditching a heroin addiction. As with any addiction harmful side effects lurk in the depth of the pleasure, increased risks of diabetes, allergies, tooth cavities, obesity even, lower concentration span, unstable energy levels, even increased cancer growth risks. Kicking you sugar habit is not impossible, as it may at first appear. The overall health and mental benefits of reducing sugar intake in your diet outweigh heavily the short frustrations you may encounter on your road to a healthier lifestyle.
