Money-saving tips: Where to find coupons

Where to find coupons, a money saving tip

Many know that using coupons can ease the strain on your pocket book. But where do you find coupons? Can you get them for free? How do I find ones that I will use? I will answer these questions for you, and using the answers, you can find coupons for free or nearly free, and get ones that you will actually use!

Where do you find coupons? Well, coupons can be found in many places. Most often people find them in the Sunday edition of their local news paper, but they come from other places as well. In the past few years, printing coupons from the internet has become a large part of any coupon mission. Finding and printing the coupons you want is made easy with sites like google. You simply google the coupon you want, and if it exists, it will provide you with a link. You can also find coupons in or on your favorite products. Don't forget to check the package while shopping or when you get home. Often the coupons in or on products have a longer expiration date than those in the paper or from the internet as well. You can visit your favorite product web sites as well. Many have valuable coupons for your printing right there, and if they do not, use the contact us section to email them a request for samples and coupons. Most makers will take your request every 3 or 4 months, so don't forget to go back often and request again. You can also find coupons in store ads, or online at the store site. Don't forget to sign up for local store emails or their frequent shopper clubs. They will often email you advance sale notices and even more money saving coupons as well.

Can you get them for free? Sure, coupons printed from the internet are free, if you use recycled paper, but you still pay for the ink. But you can find coupons in the store, on shelves, on the product, and in their fliers. Don't forget to check your store for a coupon box of unused coupons, or even at your church or local library. Many get multiple copies of the papers and will have coupons available for you for free. You can always look on freecycle.org and craigslist.com for coupons as well. Many fellow clippers will post coupons that they are not using that you can have for the drive to get them, or even have them mailed for a self addressed stamped envelope.

How do I find ones that I will use? Well, looking through your paper, you may only use 20 of the 50 coupons provided. Don't be shy, clip them all! You can find groups online and locally that swap coupons, meaning something that you may not use, someone else might, so clip it and post it for a trade. Coupon trains work well too, an envelope of coupons is sent around from person to person. You take what you will use and add those that you will not. And on the internet, it is easy to find groups and trains, not to mention there you only print the coupons that you will use. Don't forget to google what you will use and print them off.

Using these coupon getting tips, you should be able to start clipping and saving coupons to make the most of your money when shopping. As with anything, clipping and using coupons takes some time and can seem overwhelming at first, but keep at it. You will eventually get the hang of it, accumulate coupons that you will use, and make friendships where you can get more coupons for your time and effort.
