Poetry: Love expressed

by Larissa Sullivan

Created on: October 07, 2008

Love, you kill me

I worry so much

My heart stops frequently

and you kill me from the inside out

Your anger, misdirected

Fills me with shame

Even were I perfect

I would never be enough

I would murder for you

And step in front of a bullet

Willingly give my life

So you could live and take a chance

At happiness

Love, you save me

You bring me so much joy

My heart speeds and slows

Giving butterflies from the inside, out

You make me feel so alive

Make me feel so perfect

So safe

Like nothing could go wrong

I have no need to worry

About what death brings

You give me a life worth living

Air worth breathing..
