As someone said, "A beautiful life does not just happen; it is built daily; in truth, sincerity, love and prayers." Similarly each beautiful' day would bring together a beautiful, successful life.
I'd start with an old, meaningful proverb by Benjamin Franklin, albeit common yet not valued by most of our generation,
"Early to bed and early to rise makes you healthy, wealthy and wise."
Rising early gives you a good start as the early morning environment is refreshing. It helps you start your day in good spirits. It even makes a good psychological impact on your mind and you tend to complete your tasks quickly.
Next on the list is, physical exercise; It not only helps you maintain weight and battle against chronic diseases; it even helps brain stimulation and improves your mood. What's better than starting a day with a positive mind and good mood?
Another good way of starting your day with a positive attitude is to be grateful for all the uncountable blessings you've been bestowed with. Those blessings which we take for granted; good weather, shelter, good health, the five senses, your individual talents and potentials, your family and friends people you can depend on. Being thankful for all these little and great things- which matter, will create a positive attitude in you and will make you more sensitive towards those who are not as fortunate enough.
Practice Abundance; Abundance mentality; simply stated open mindedness'. It is
a state of mind where you are conscious of the world around you and you do little acts of kindness which make a difference. It is about sensing what you need to do. Like helping an old man cross the road, carrying the old lady's bags to the car, giving a dollar or two to the helpless hungry child etc. The act of forgiving too, is abundance. These little acts of kindness do not only make a difference to them' but also to you- as they give you a satisfying pleasure, soaring spirits and a light heart.
Take each day as a step towards your ultimate goal of life. Question everything you do. And see weather you're going is in accordance with your real values or what you're doing has just become a habit out of unconsciousness or temporary pleasure. In short, make conscious effort to become, what you would like to be and known to be, 10 years from now.
Learn to take responsibility; even for the little chores at home. Taking responsibility makes you free. While when you make a habit of depending on others, the result is only irritation and frustration.
Make a point of doing something you dread doing, or something you keep putting off for later. For example cleaning out an old store room, a pile of clothes which need to be hand washed etc. This would also help you increase your power of will and determination.
And most important of all! Learn to enjoy life.
As the saying goes, "All work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy"
Remember life is a gift. So take out time for yourself and your close ones, spend some quality time with them; give yourself a treat; meditate and contemplate; observe nature.. And it will instill in you a feeling of peace.
