According to encyclopedia, a broken heart (or heartbreak) is a common metaphor used to describe the intense emotional pain or suffering one feels after losing a loved one, through death, divorce, moving, being dumped, or other means. It is an unexplained emotional pain or pain of the mind. In this situation mind becomes very unstable, thoughts keeps on hovering between denial to anger and an intense urge to revert the situation.
It is very difficult to recover from a broken heart. Firstly you will need a very strong will power to control your mind like a trained army. It is the mind which creates the feelings. Your feelings will be under control so long you have the controls on your mind.
To mend a broken heart you may try following:-
Accept the fact: First and foremost requirement is to accept the fact. Do not try to analyze that who was at a fault or whether you had controls on the happenings. Just accept hat something has happened which should have not happened. It is a past now and and should be no more than a history to your mind.
Keep engaged: Keeping engaged in activities you like. For example play game, meet friends, read books, do some creative arts, etc. When you do some of those aforementioned activities, your brain will be more engaged in advising your muscles on what to do and how to do. Brain will have less scope to stimulate your feeling to bring back the bad memories of the loss.
Make a new relation: Try to make anew relation. Some may think it is unethical to have new relation soon after and old relation broke up due to death, divorce or whatever reason it is. But the truth is that you will need a partner. If you choosen correctly, may be your new relation will cause to forget your past bad memories very soon.
Consult a psychiatrist: If you have feeling of depression, you may need to consult a psychiatrist. In additon to discliping the mind you may need some medication to stmulate relaxation of the mind.
Time: Proverb says 'Tiame is the greates heakere'. GHive time to your mind to slowly overcome the memories of loss and filled with new good memories.
Recovering from a broken hert depends on the personality of individuals. Depth of the grief or sorrow depends on how you analyze and quantify it. For a same loss feelings will vary from person to person. Some will recover very fast as a small hitch in the passage of life, others may may not be able forget the loss for whole life.
