I believe that hunting animals is a part of a sport. What we call sport is a movement that requires lots of energy source produced in our body. While we hunt animals, we use energy to move. Any harming weapon you use to catch animals requires your strength to be used. Hunting animals is a legitimate sport because of the following reasons: It is a part of a culture, killing animals are not a big deal, and we are respecting the nature while we hunt.
First, killing animal is a culture. When we see people who lived in the past, they hunted to make their lives longer. They had to eat something to survive. Killing animals are essential in our lives. The steak you see in the restaurant, the turkey you eat in thanksgiving, and hamburgers all have meats inside. If you think that hunting animals is not a legitimate sport, think again before you set your mind. Where do you get all the meats? Do you think people produce fake meats that dosen't harm any animals to produce? The answer is no. People hunt animals and gain meat. You might hate seeing people who hunt animals, but don't you eat meat too? Ofcourse unless you are a vegetarian.
Second, killing animals is not such a big deal. After you read this sentence, you might say 'Why not?'. I think that taking an animal's life is not a big deal. We have killed things more important than animals before. Long time ago in Ancient Greece, people who lived there enjoyed people killing each other. That also became one of the culture in Greece. We have killed human before, why not animals? If killing human was a legitimate sport, why are people so obsessed with killing animals?
Third, we respect the nature while we hunt. For a safe hunting, we get licenses to hunt and respect nature at the same time. People who do not want to respect nature, but hunt, we ban them from hunting. Hunting is against the law unless you have a license. People who respect the nature are the people who hunt. We do not have to worry about people hunting too much animals or people hunting endangered animals continuously.
Do you still think hunting animals is not a legitimate sport or some people convinced? I still think that hunting animals is a legitimate sport. Next time you want to ban hunting, think about the people who earn money and continue their lives from hunting. Would you still want to ban hunting if you were one of the people who hunt? Some people might say 'We raise farms and get meat', but I still think killing in a farm or killing in the wild does not make any difference. Let's license hunting as a legitimate sport
