Daydreaming
So close yet so far
I feel you
Or at least want so much to
I feel like I do
Your sweet smelling hair
That I might run my fingers through
Just beyond my reach
Just beyond my touch
Your voice
That sweet song
Like a whispered echo
Off the walls of my longing heart
I think I can see your smile
In that burning sun
I think I can hear your sigh
In that loving wind
Where'd the world go?
Oh yeah, lost to a greater thing
You
My eternal dream

Poetry: Daydreams

A five-minute break, to catch my breath,
(halfway up a mountain in the Arochar Alps, Scotland):
Ahead of me, I see a blue
Daydreams.
Often in a quiet time I let my mind drift,
To places that I've never gone;
Dreaming dreams of great heroic deeds,

Eyes open wide
Eyes wide open and in my mind
treasures of a heartfelt love I find
The softness of your hands I feel
steady
Whenever it got tough on the outside
An always ajar door on the inside
Would invite her further in
Here was Peter Pan, Cinderella,

Daydreams
Come in a million
To earn millions
But none of them
Open the gates
Of the rich
Mama wakes
Me up
From the veranda
Why don't
