Identifying the inventor of the first air craft

by Tn Fr0g

This question can be a tricky one. Depending on the area of which you live. If you go back to you "your" history. If you live in the United States - Orville and Wilbur Wright of North Carolina , the Wright Brothers were the first IN flight. They were not the first to invent the first aircraft. They were the first to have a manned flight with control. There were other inventors that made claims that it was plausable. They tested many "aircrafts" if you will but none were manned. So to this question I beleive that flight was thought of long before this incident at Kitty Hawk. But the Wright Brothers made it a reality. The only for sure documentation. There were other reports but none that had substantial proof to back it up.Leonardo DiVinci was the man that had the "thought" of flight. He built an unmanned flying machine. So if we talk about the inventor of the first aircraft then we have to include the first child that threw the first paper airplane. So that raises another question... Who invented the paper airplanes? Hmm there is a thought to ponder. What about hot air balloons. They were around long before the airplane. They were manned aircraft.
