Are God and science two separate entities, or is science the study of the processes of how God went about putting everything together in His creations? Science teaches me the process of God's creation. In the beginning of the creation of man, God created the Heavens and Earth and prepared the Earth for the existence of man. Man was created after all preparations for him to survive on Earth were created (Genesis Chapter 1).
Merriam-Webster's definition of God is, "the supreme or ultimate reality: the Being perfect in power, wisdom, and goodness who is worshipped as creator and ruler of the universe". Hence, the definition of science is, "knowledge or a system of knowledge covering general truths or the operation of general laws especially as obtained and tested through scientific method". Using the definitions of the two shows me that science is NOT a separate entity in itself, but the study and testing of something in order to gain knowledge of how it came to be. God made the Heavens and the Earth and with the use of a tool known as science, man is discovering the most primitive details of how God went about creating all things.
The study of science does not mean to separate from God, but to quench man's curiosity of what tools God made to build all things. God created man in His own Image (Genesis 1:27). Since we were made by God in His image, we also have the basic desire to build and create. How many of you have ever built or created without first developing a working plan? Can something be built or created correctly without the proper tools and materials? Science is discovering the most basic materials God created as His tools to build all things. How has science proved that evolution did not happen through God? If science has discovered that DNA is the basic building block for all things and that God did not build all things, then science must prove to me where DNA came from or accept the fact that DNA is God's building block, created by Him, for the making of all things.
The Mona Lisa painting was created by Leonardo Da Vinci. As an example, let us pretend that this painting was discovered in a dusty basement without the artist's signature. Oh, there are several people who say that the painting was created by Da Vinci and several people have written stories, and several who have claimed to have been present when Da Vinci was creating it, but that there was not one shred of solid proof that Da Vinci created the Mona Lisa. How would we ultimately prove that the Mona Lisa was created by Da Vinci? We would use science and technology as tools in the discovery of this person. So, on a much larger plane, how is this any different than using the tools of science and technology to discover how God created all things?
God and science are not two separate entities. Science is the tool used to quench the desire of discovering how God created all things. Science has not proved that God does not exist, but is strengthening my belief that nothing else could have been responsible for His mighty creations!
