Could it be true that the United States of America is robbing the world of its natural and non-natural resources? Yes, it is true there are many people in our world see the United States as "The Consumption Empire." The reason for this is due to the fact that we consume roughly 70% of the world's resources, including petroleum and other natural resources. They, also, see us as a corrupt nation and a country that has no respect toward the needs and wants of their countries.
If you need evidence of this, just turn on your TV and see what is going on in the world today. Over in the Middle East, you have throngs of people, gathering in the streets and chanting slogans like, "Death to America!" or "Death to Israel." Why is this happening? Because America is robbing those people of their livelihoods and of their identities.
Now, with regards to Israel, Israel is backed by the United States and this is why many people, including most Palestinians, despise, both Israel and America, for what they feel that those countries have done to their way of life. In other words, most people that live in Middle East, Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, and Australia feel that America is nothing more than a large, greedy and excessively corpulent nation, whose main purpose is take all the worlds natural resources and leaving them in a state in inequity, in regards to natural resources.
Of course, most Americans are unaware of the fact that they are taking up that much of the world's resources. Others do not care if they are robbing the lives of someone that depends on the land to survive, as long they get waht they want and need.
Now, in terms of the petrol supply, this is a big issue among the world's population. As the world's top consumer of petroleum, the United States is, definitely, the king of consumption and greedy, wasteful use of this precious resource. In fact, the reason why petrol is more expensive in European countries is because petroleum is in a shorter supply than America and the Middle East.
This may be true, but when can the world do about America's overconsumption of petroleum? OPEC has done little and the Saudis and Iraqis continue to supply them with barrel after barrel of this natural resource. Soon enough, the world will not have any more petroleum to go around and then what will the world do to maintain a decent standard of living? I say shame on America and shame on OPEC for not doing enough to curb America's appetite on the world's oil market!
