Poetry: Friendship

by Tri Huynh

Created on: October 05, 2008

It was meant to be that one day we realise that friendships are always history,

The only fragments that reach us is the light bouncing out from the past

Out of the darkness comes the light, that is what we see

Our sight, such a sense, it cannot be explained, what is real, what is not?

It is to be that one day we realise that friendships are always present,

Each day it's the voices of those closest to us that brings us back into normality, humanity

Humanity, so large, so sparse, where to begin?

The expanse of humanity is as large as we make it,

Make it small, revelations spurred by the god complex of humanity

I know what is real, it's is our friendship that illuminates our history

And brings us into the present, you are a present from the towering humanity

The god complexion, your complexion reflecting into the future

Into the future we go, or is it the past, or is it the present?

As long as we are friends let's go anywhere

This is reality.
