How can you find the best Nanny? Finding the right nanny may be easier than you may think! In today's society, having someone to take care of your children is a must. Parents fast paced careers are keeping them stressed and over worked. By having a wonderful nanny helps to relieve some of the stress by giving them the opportunity to focus on their careers. Most Mothers would love the chance to stay home with their children. But let's face the facts, with the economy in a state of upheaval, parents needs the reassurance that their children are safe and well taken care of, hence the need for wonderful nannies.

When searching for the right nanny you need to consider these questions:

Do you need a nanny housekeeper?

How often do I need a nanny?

How much am I willing to pay?

Do I need a live-in-nanny?

After answering those questions you can start the process of finding the best nanny possible. If you have the internet you can Google the word Nannies and an assortment of useful information will be available. If you are interested in going through an agency; those will be available and listed online. Another way is to advertise in your local newspaper. Whichever you choose you will want to get several applicants before you start the interviewing process. You should require a background check, drug test, and a previous work history. You may also want to inquire about their religious preference. Nannies should have some type of Early Childhood Education Degree, they should be CPR and first aid certified.

Some other qualifications should include:

Willingness to agree to a one year contract

Clear outline of responsibilities

Understand expectations from both sides

Both parties should provide a positive and safe environment

Both have respect for privacy

Nanny and Family needs to be compatible

All these qualities are necessary to building a healthy working relationship between the Nanny and the Family. American nannies are readily available through most agencies. Nannies responsibilities should include some of the following:

Bathing

Dressing

Feeding

Planned Outings

Indoor and Outdoor play

Arranging sleepovers

Entertainment

Carpooling

Laundry (children's)

All these responsibilities should be ironed out before the actual hiring of the nanny. If you are looking for live-in nannies you should look to pay more for a live-in. On the average from low to hi the pay scale ranges from $20.000 to $40,000 yearly. If you need a nanny-housekeeper then pay scale would be different. Finding wonderful nannies can take time but worth the final effort it would take to find just the right nanny for your family.
