Mine.
Head down, walking to you're house,
Hedge row fluttering by.
Black shapes emerging from the tree,
Only the last one is You.
Smile, creeping, spreading, glowing.
Walking towards you, those last tricky steps.
So long, so drawn out, so unnecessary.
One more step.
Your arms snaking around my waist,
They fit just fine.
Your nose tipping down to reach mine,
Lips brushing my skin.
My nose buried against your neck,
Breathing deep, just to remember.
Standing alone, together, for just a few seconds.
Then you smile.
World flies by.
Cars flash past.
I don't care.
Now everyone knows:
I'm yours. And you are mine.

Poetry: Mine
Never learn
Heart break
Always follows
Bad intentions
Mine I say
You can't ever
own anything
A piece of paper
Says its yours
But
It’s not perfect, but it’s ours.
Sometimes sweet, sometimes it sours.
No, we’re not guaranteed tomorrow,
You are glorious and you are mine
You are magnificent and all the time
You are beautiful in every way
You need no words for
by Elvina C.
You may chain me,
… but do chain me with love.
You may tie me,
… but do tie me in your embrace.
You may touch
by Kris Vaassen
Love, contentment
and happiness was all mine
until I lost you
You were all mine
You thought I could reach
the moon
