Write now Article Tools

It can be hard to get the motivation to write articles to generate traffic for your website or affiliate link. If you have designed and written the website yourself, you will already have spent days writing about your topic. If you are trying to generate traffic for an affiliate link you might feel everything has already been said by the product's originator. However, if you have decided to use article writing to generate traffic you will have to motivate yourself. How can you do this?

Extra Information
Imagine you have a page on your website where you are telling people all about a particular product which you are selling. You will probably have told the reader why they should buy this product and what benefits it offers. For your article, try and find extra information that you haven't included on your web page. Use the internet, or a trade magazine or your local library as a research tool. This will help motivate you to write the article as the content will not be the same as the content of your web page.

Goals
Set yourself an achievable target of writing, say, five articles in five days. Do some keyword research. Try to find a few long tail keywords (phrases to you and me) connected with the diy tool that prospective purchasers have used when searching the net. Write one article themed around each keyword. Having an achievable goal will motivate you. When you have achieved the goal and can see results, this should provide further motivation to continue.

Results
Remember why you are writing articles. To drive traffic to your website or affiliate product. Remind yourself that if you don't write the articles you won't generate traffic and so won't make any sales. You need traffic - this in itself should act as a motivator to get you writing those articles.

Product Knowledge
If you are trying to generate traffic for an affiliate link, consider buying the product yourself first. Hopefully you will find it is great product. This should help motivate you to write those articles. You can tell your prospective customers what the product does, what it has achieved for you and why they should buy the product. You will be writing from a position of knowledge and authority. If the product is truly good, you will want to spread the word.

Time
For me this is a motivating factor. If I am writing about a product from my own website I find I can write an article in a relatively short time. This means that if I have a small window of time free I know that I can use it constructively. I can write an article and submit it to an article directory. I'm not left with a task half done that needs to be finished at a later date. I haven't wasted that time because I can't find a task that can be completed in a short time.

Article writing can be fun and is a great way of driving traffic to a website. It's a method I use, although I use it in moderation. That way I stay motivated and enjoy my writing.
