Starcraft was a big hit at the beginning. Few years later, Starcraft: Brood war came out, taking the risks such as 'similiar to the original'. When Starcraft was forgotten for few years and when it was starting to become unpopular, Blizzard announced Starcraft ll. It shocked lots of Starcraft fans. There are some reasons that shocked the fans.

When Blizzard first introduced a gameplay of starcraft ll, people realized that it has changed so much from the beginning. The things that shocked the fans were new and different characters. Some characters were gone forever and some changed so much that we could not even realize what they were. When people saw the first gameplay, people were so confused. Lets continue on to the buildings,

When the buildings were introduced by Blizzard, it was all fancy and new. The Command center has changed and supply depots changed and almost every single shape of the buildings changed. Some new buildings were really weird. Things were very weird when new stages, maps, and buildings came out. That is the truth and destiny of every video game. That is the life of the video games all the time. When a sequel comes out, the fans struggle to get over the fact that it was new. Starcraft ll is coming out soon and we must all be ready to face the sequel. If somebody did not know that Starcraft ll was not coming out, and they purchased it, he/she would have hard time figuring out new things that were added to the game. Let's move on to others.

There were some new things introduced for Starcraft ll. What people still can't go over is the graphics. Many people are anxious. 'What if I lag because of the threatning graphics? What if I am not used to the graphics?'. I personally am going to play Starcraft: Brood war instead of Starcraft ll. The reasons the people are preferring Starcraft: Brood war is that they like the old way. Some people are exited by new types of games or sequels. But, there are people like me who like the old one. People who play Starcraft: Brood War will decrease. But, I thought about it, and I think the people who enjoys Starcraft ll will also enjoy starcraft: Brood war. Next time a sequel comes out for another game, why not try the old way first? You might find yourself sitting in front of your computer, playing the old version of a game that came out yesterday. Lets love Starcraft: Brood war and Starcraft ll. It might help you get over the fact you like the old one the most.
