There are some places on earth I consider to be a part of my own world. They're mine and I've claimed them as such. There is my bedroom - an obvious choice some might say but, I don't agree.
The place I claim as my own though, is a purple velvet armchair just below a huge reading lamp on the split floor level of Edinburgh's Starbucks inside Waterstones. My heaven on earth. Could any place or other restaurant offer more satisfaction than the ability to buy a book then sit reading it in one of the coziest and comfiest chairs ever made, whilst drinking a vanilla cream frappacino and eating a large chocolate cookie. There is nothing better - no restaurant of cafe will beat Starbucks on Princes Street. Its quiet and relaxed, with friendly open staff and a library-like atmosphere. But none of this makes Starbucks as perfect as it is. The view makes Starbucks heaven. To sit reading, eating and drinking whilst watching tourists and shopper hurry about on Princes Street, and the majestic Edinburgh Castle directly opposite? Beat it if you can, but this is the most wondrous place in my world.
