talent (within ALL of us) to better their own lives and the lives of those around them, not in some manner to aggrandize themselves and make themselves rich and fat off the misunderstanding of others concerning this ability. These thieves of people's money and trust are selling something they're marketing as being unavailable to the "average Joe". It's like I have a stove and you don't, and you want to boil some water. Of course, YOU could get a stove, or build a fire, for that matter. But all you can see is that I have a stove and you don't.

So you'll pay me to use it, even though you could have one of your own.

Let me reiterate something I mentioned earlier on. It is important to develop wisdom and discernment. Both of these characteristics are developed over time, through experience. So there is a good likelihood that we might make missteps along the way and choose to participate in things perhaps we should not because we have no understanding or comprehension of them. That's OK.
Just remember to always "feel" things out and see if they actually ring "true" for you, and if they don't, run for the hills and look for a better crowd with which to hang out! And as you move through these experiences, you will see the pattern of the "good" and the "bad" for yourself and your situations emerge.
It is the same in all things, even trusting those who would channel. There are viable sources and then there are fraudulent individuals who are not at all performing the service they are advertising. Be aware, and make intelligent choices, and don't believe everything you hear or read. Just because someone said it, just because someone wrote it, that doesn't make it TRUE.
