Testimonies: Is channeling a real experience or is it faked?

one can almost understand how it is that people are looking for ANY way to make a buck. But in a larger understanding of the process and its meaning, we can also see how this distorts and undermines the true purpose of channeled information - which is to teach and to guide.

Society becomes enraged if they see a math teacher in their child's classroom that isn't certified to teach. People lose their minds if someone unqualified is promoted to be their supervisor. We all run for the hills if we are being counseled by a member of the clergy who is clearly not using his supposed Biblical knowledge to lead his flock. Yet we allow untrustworthy channels to do their job and never question it. Why is that? Largely, it is because the vast majority of mainstream society rejects channeling as a real and true possibility or probability. It just doesn't jive with the average person's world view, in which we cannot communicate without using words and symbols and gestures, and wherein we cannot possibly interact with unseen energy.

It's actually rather ironic that classic channeling is so under-appreciated in today's society. For instance, there is much channeled material in one of the most honored and respected religious texts in the world, the Bible. It is believed universally that the Revelation is a "vision" that John is having.
One may interpret that as some sort of "dream state", but in reality it is a form of channeling, even if he WAS asleep (after all, Cayce was known as the "Sleeping Prophet", because he slept in order to channel). I would not necessarily suggest that ALL dreams are a form of channeling, but I would also suggest that they MIGHT be. Perhaps the reasons we find ourselves dreaming about being on a date with our favorite movie star, or being the hero in our own Hollywood-scale adventures, or of ourselves in our underwear in front of the boss, are because the system is somewhat broken. We don't use it for its intended purpose, and we are so untrained in its use, that we end up just sending and receiving random energies (images, feelings, ideas and concepts) that don't apply to anything real. We dream nonsense.

I believe channeling is quite real, though I also think the vast majority of people marketing their "skills" as channels are likely fakes in terms of their ability to deliver viable information from a trusted and true source. I think there are far more channels in the world than those of which we are aware, because most of them are using this innate
