Einstein and others that followed have shown us that, contrary to the way things appear, nothing in our physical reality is solid. Everything is composed of energy in varying rates of vibration, including the human body.
Not only does the physical body consist of it, but we are affected by fields of vibrating energy outside of ourselves. Music is a good example of this. Have you ever noticed how some music can seem to lift you up and make you feel lighter while other types of music can cause you to feel heavy, like you've just gained 20 pounds? That's an easy, noticeable affect of vibrations but there are others that are not as noticeable such as the vibrations from high tension wires, microwaves, televisions, etc. We are bombarded everyday by these vibrations many of which we are totally unaware can have an affect on us and our bodies.
One of the most important ones, that we tend to disregard, is our own emotions as well as those of the people we are around. I'm sure everyone has experienced, at least once in their lives, the euphoric feeling of joy. For some, it might feel like you can walk 6" off the ground and for others, it might be a feeling of being so light you're sure you could fly if you really tried.
Then there's the other end of that spectrum, which is the dark, dismal feelings of sadness, depression, anger and fear. Depression especially can make you feel heavy. Your shoulders sag, you hunch forward and it's all you can do to drag yourself out of bed (if you are even able) to face another day.
You can become aware of the affects of emotion on yourself by noticing, or perhaps you already have, what you feel like after being with people who are having a good time. You feel good, even if you didn't when you first got there. Their high vibration of having fun, experiencing joy, lifted you up.
The opposite is also true. Ever feel really good and then get around a person or a group of people that were really down? All of a sudden, you feel down or angry or sad. Once again, you were affected by the vibration of the emotions of those surrounding you.
Newtonian physics has always looked at the Universe as one big machine. As we move into new ways of thinking, scientists have discovered that cause and effect are a real truth especially when we begin to realize that we are part of the equation even as an observer. Our very expectations can cause the outcome of an event or an experiment to be different than if we were not in the picture observing.
