Poetry: My worth

by G E Barr

Created on: October 03, 2008

THE SCALES

It could be more than I estimate

Yet less than my total wieght

After I've vented true

It wouldn't matter all that much

Except I see a kicker in you

Round the planet

Across the shores

Up the mountains

I make a few scores

For humanity

But in the evening

When I am tired

And all I own is on the edge

My worth is a private matter

Some call me less
