Telluride Colorado is an authentic western town snuggled into the San Juan Mountains, that is so high up that you feel like you are close enough to touch the stars. Well, now you can! Telluride Colorado is fast becoming a hot spot for major celebrities. Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes own a home here and Oprah Winfrey vacations here. This area is a well known skiers haven, it has an authentic Western feel and this beautifully stunning scenery, not to mention the awesome, quaint, personality laden shops and restaurants, but as far as winter activities go, you can come here and do all this an hang out with some major celebrities!

You have to come to Telluride and rub elbows with the elite. Can you imagine skiing down a beautiful mountain enjoying the spectacular view when Tom Cruise, and Katie Holmes and their daughter Suri, whoosh past you shooting you spectacular gleaming white smiles! This area is not like Aspen yet, that is filled at winter- time with stars out to see and be seen. This area has great nightlife, terrific food, and the absolute best skiing in the world. And it isn't packed with people.

It could be because it just hasn't been overrun with tourists yet, or it could be that in the winter it can be tricky gliding in on an airplane due to the incredible highness of the area. After all, Telluride is about 10,000 feet above sea level. And in the winter it is a little tricky to get in but plan on staying for a while and renting a vacation home in this champagne, pristine, snowy wonderland. Then you can have the manger stock the place with what ever your heart desires, and you can make as much noise as you want and not have to worry about bothering the neighbors.

This is the area for star sightings, such as Kelsey Grammer who loves to shop at major retailers in the big city over the holidays and pick up what everyone needs for Christmas such as big screen televisions for his vacation home. Several years ago Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake saved a fellow skier by aiding him until the ski patrol arrived to help. Will Smith, Owen and Luke Wilson have been spotted skiing, snowboarding, shopping, dining, and walking the cobblestone pathways of Mountain Village!

Maybe you can take a sleigh ride with one of these stellar stars, and eat authentic Western grub. Possibly you can Helitrax down a mountain of champagne snow with Tom Cruise and his family. It's where you rent a helicopter and they drop you ever so gently onto the mountain to ski down. How awesome is that? You could ride in the gondola next to Oprah Winfrey or possibly Goldie Hawn or even Catherine Zeta Jones.

The area isn't glitzy and glamorous like Aspen, and it doesn't have the insanity of paparazzi running around after the stars. That's' what makes it so great, is just that! It's a quiet, relaxing place where stars can relax, and you can just hang out and relax with them while you snowboard, ice skate, get massages, shop, eat great food, and look at the beautiful mountain scenery in awe. And oh yes, you can glimpse the stars because you will be so close to them.
