Etiquette are part of civilized living. Manners and etiquette are a must for civilized society. You may not realize how you are behaving or reacting to a situation, which may give feelings of rudeness or abnormal behavior to others, similarly some of the actions of others  may feel odd to you.

Airplane travel is the one of the sophisticated means of travel. A number of passengers will in a restricted space for period of times depending on the travel destinations. Feeling for the fellow passengers and maintaining a highest degrees of etiquette are most desirable. Some of tips for maintaining etiquette are given below:

- While travelling in a group be sympathetic to sleeping or resting passengers around you. Avoid very loud talking, laughing, making jokes or other activities which may disturb others.

- Avoid calling cabin crew unnecessarily for chatting. Many of the routine necessities e.g. request for drinking water, blanket or pillow, etc. could be done by just walking over to the pantry or where the carbine crew are available unless you are sitting in middle or window seat, disabled or very old to do physical activities.

- If you required to walk very often or use toilet more frequently, try to choose isle seat. This will help you not to disturb the passenger seating beside you.

- Be sensible while using toilet. Normally airplane has only few toilets, so be considerate for others and try to minimise time of usage as far as practicable. Keep toilet seat and enviornment clean.

- be cautious while reading newspaper or doing paper, it should not poke the passenger beside you.

- If you intend to use light emitting device like laptop or gaming equipment, try to angle the screen in such a way so as to avoid screen glares to the eyes of neighbouring passengers. You may ask them politely if they do not mind using same.

- If you are sitting in middle seat, do not struggle for occupying the arm rests. Do not lean over to see beautiful scenery across the shoulder of your neighbor. While tilting the backrest be considerate about your fellow passenger seating behind.

- Don't carry bulky hand baggage. Head lockers have limited space and all passengers have to share the space equally.

- Use some types of mild perfumes prior to start of the journey, as the noxious body odour could be very disturbing factor for most.

- If you are travelling with small kids, be prepared and take necessary steps so that kids remain quiet and does not become a nuisance for other.

- While disembarking be considerate, avoid dashing and pushing. Show courtesy and allow passengers in front of you to go first.

Etiquette are something that shows up spontaneously and grows from childhood depending living environment. Best way to learn etiquette is to put yourself in others perspective and judge what types behaviour would expect from the persons around you.
