Poetry: Choose your battles

by Christopher Kelly

Created on: October 01, 2008

A battle lost

is something no fun,

if you'da chosen your battle,

you woulda won.

Don't pick a fight

With an intelligent foe

You short-term war

will end in woe.

If you pick a fight

Compare your size,

If he's too big

You''re left for the flies.

Following that

Watch out for his friend

If its not one on one

Your wounds won't mend.

Last of course,

If you know you'll lose

Wear some loose clothes

and some quick-light shoes.

Remember my friend,

best listen to me

If you choose your battles

choose them wisely.
