Alaska is truly the most magnificent vacation you could ever possibly go on. Alaska is a natural haven of true paradise on earth unlike any other place you will ever visit in your lifetime. Alaska is the final frontier, because it is wild, it is free, and it is the most beautiful unspoiled area of the United States.

Travel to Alaska is unlike going to any other place in the world. Many people think, that traveling to Alaska would be akin to going back in time to an icy tundra complete with Woolly Mammoths and snow piled higher than the tops of buildings. Well, none of that is true, Alaska is a beautiful unspoiled haven of nature at her best. But it also has what every other major city has, in that it has all the modern conveniences, alongside snow-capped mountains, and moose, and elk running wild.

The best time to go to Alaska is during June to catch the longest day of the year, when the sun never stops shining. During the entire month of June the sun really never stops shining. During May, June, July and August baby animals and everything natural grows by leaps and bounds. This is the time of year in Alaska where everything has a chance to grow due to all of the sunlight and abundance of food to be had. It is truly amazing to see all of the beauty to behold in thre long tall grasses, and the pretty wild flowers everywhere.

You must go to Fairbanks and see this small, quaint town where the people are very friendly and accommodating. This is the time when Alaska is alive and growing with beautiful flowers and natural beauty everywhere. You will have to stop an see one of the many mushers just outside of town and theri very energetic husky sled dogs. You may even get a history lesson on the magic of Fairbanks and just what permafrost is. Another point of interest is Juneau that is the state capital, where you can only fly or boat into town.

While you are in Alaska you will have to visit Denali National Park. It is one of the largest parks in the United States. If you are not on a tour, you will need a travel to Alaska map here.! You will see moose up close and personal, elk, wild goats munching lunch along mountainsides. You will see of the highest peak in the world with Mount McKinley on a clear day. And you can just stand on a hilltop and breathe in all the fresh, air of an unspoiled land that is truly the last bastion of natural wonder.

In Alaska that's where you will be introduced to your first glimmering blue and green iceberg. Catch sight of whale's tails, sea otters drifting along and eat all the fresh ocean delights! Try a moose burger, fly above the ocean, or take a ride on a paddle-boat of yore. But you will be certain to have the vacation adventure of a lifetime!
