Lying prone on dusty shores
Earth moving under flesh
Stars collapsing into memories
Fading lives and dancing eyes
Skin on skin; melting into distant waves
Lapping ocean breathing secrets in each retreat
Toes clenching sandy dreams
Lost to the majesty
Of a sea with no regrets
Bodies giving, taking, writhing
Unknowing.
Unknown.
Rhapsody sweeter than smiling lips
Giving way to chords unrecognized in human throats
Mouthes and tongues collapse
Moving forward into time and space
Bursts of sun, of energy
Call forth a thousand voices
Joined in chorus to sing aubades
For those lost amongst the rhythm of the sea
Conjoined with sudden triumphs
Forged ahead in thoughtless whispers
Teeth white and bleeding promise
Hands cracked and grappling
Fluttering lashes and lips leak hidden truths
Life is lost here, at the ocean
Sold for magic in the tides
Forgotten, betrayed for harmonious waves
Left behind for idle dreams of idol shores
Ocean's promise; vacant, shallow
Hearts stopped and drowned in salt
Bodies clutched together
In the sea,
Now and Forever.
