Is there any big deal in a woman marrying an older man?

Marriage is union and equality. A man may assume leadership role, but he is still subject to his wife, just as his wife is subject to him. No matter how smart and strong he is, he must be dependent on his wife for some issues, like he will never be smart and strong enough to carry a baby in his womb for one nanosecond, let alone nine months.

But why do women marry older men?

Human beings are dependent on one another. After years of experiencing what a man might lack for being too young and inexperienced about life's issues, a woman may finally see what she wants in an older and more experienced man that knows better; an older man that understands.

As we grow older, we experience more, and we learn from our experience. Most times, when an older man decides to get married to a woman, it is because he has come to understand that dreams may not always represent the best, and he might just decide to pick that "very imperfect" woman who is willing to learn from a man that is willing to teach.

Women may be able to find "the end of childishness" in older men. Young men may still be on the search, but older men may have found. They are ready to make a change; they have experienced the world and may be better in differentiating the good from the bad.

Even though the respect, commitments, and responsibilities of marriage should be shared among the couples irrespective of gender, science has shown that the man is "physically stronger". However, he is not a stronger vessel becomes he is still dependent on the woman. Also, the woman is not a stronger vessel because she depends on the man.

A woman might prefer an older man because of maturity; and a man might prefer a younger woman because of respect. No matter the reason, love should never be downplayed. Whether a woman admires a virtue in an older man and decides to give in for marriage, love remains the keeper. Love should start it and love should keep it.

Experience derived from being older can only water a marriage that only love can plant.

Why do women marry older man? Simply because they fell in love with older men. Every other thing like maturity, experience, and understanding were all radiated and made obvious by love and nothing but love. Age is never the condition for love, but age should not be ignored when it comes to marriage.

Two young people can fall in love, but when it comes to marriage, an older person may handle it better.
