Other innovations invented to run vehicles are the use of solar energy as well as ethanol and LPG. These energy sources have very little to no exhaust that could harm the environment. These types of energy sources are actually being pursued by many environmentalists since they pose no threat to the environment. The good thing with these energy sources is that they are abundant and they can be easily produced which makes them to be a lot cheaper than using gasoline to run the cars.
PLANT TREES AND CROPS
You may have an empty backyard in your place. This could be transformed into a small garden where you could plant some crops for your family use. You could make plots for planting tomatoes, cabbage, lettuce and other vegetables. You could also plant fruit bearing trees in your backyard.
Come to think of it. Instead of buying vegetables and fruits from the grocery, you could make use already of the available vegetables that you planted in your backyard. You could then enjoy your favorite garden salad without spending any cent for the vegetable and tomatoes. You could enjoy freshly picked apples and oranges from your backyard without the need to go to the groceries. Therefore, you will save a lot of gas or fare to go to the grocery and you will also enjoy the freshness of the crops that you have. Aside from that, you are also promoting a healthy environment by planting the trees and vegetables in your garden.USE YOUR FEET OR USE BICYCLES ON SHORT DISTANCE ERRANDS
Many of us have been used to ride on our car even on short distance trips. This would use up gas and this would again add to the air pollution as the pollutants will be exhausted to the air due to the burning of fuel. Therefore, you could just walk on such instances or you could use your bike if you have one. Walking and biking could even help you to become physically fit as this is a form of exercise. This would also save you a lot of money that you need to use for gas or for your fare.
Now that you have some ideas on how you could save money when you go green, you then try it out in your own home and you will see the difference.
