How do we define evil

Evil I'm sure does not have to be defined for people to understand, exactly what evil is. We are living in a world where we are just plagued with evil. There is good and bad and even a little child is taught what is good and what is bad. At this stage, the child gets to choose either of the values. The child gets to understand, that playing with fire will surely burn . If he grows up in a healthy environment, the child's observations at home will be positive. Take for instance, if this child does grow up in an abusive environment, where he does see his father assault his mother for the first time with his bare hands, and the next time the father uses a gun to threaten his mother, what can you expect from this child. He has seen evil raging infront of his eyes. He recalls his mother's cry for mercy, pleading with his father not to kill her. He sensed it was evil.

Evil comes in different packages, it doesn't necessarily have to come in the form of a killer. Think of it, hidden in the minds of people, all the time. It manifests itself at the right time. Two good friends in college, have a fight over the same girl they both love. How do they solve this problem? Most often, somebody pays the price of evil. A bullet seems to answer the question. Evil has no time or place to manifest. Evil plays her part faster than good or forgiveness. What about the guy, who walks down the street, kidnaps the little child in the pram and escapes. Your co-worker who plans and schemes against you, all because you got a promotion or maybe your just better looking and smarter. What about the rude and dirty emails you receive, from your ex-husband or boyfriend. The thug who lurks in hideways and attacks innocent people and the elderly. There are numerous egs. of evil minded people. This reminds me of a real life incident, that happened a couple of months back in the country that I work in. A guy was dating a girl for five months, he came from a European country and she from the African country. Well, the girl lived with him for five months and due to constant squabbles they decided to separate. The boy found another live-in partner and pretended to live a happy life, while on the sly he was harassing his first girl friend. One fateful morning as she was getting ready to meet her friends, this guy pulled her out of her apartment and battered her head with a bat. He then drove he off to an unknown destination . While in the police custody, each day his testimony was different. The body of the woman is still not found. Anxious relatives have led a campaign to find the woman. " Evil personified " Rejection and revenge gripped his mind, the outcome was evil manifested.

Where there is no fear of God evil exists. The absence of love and understanding is a breeding ground for evil. Poverty is also another cause for evil. A mind without peace and forgiveness gives bloom to evil. Every negative emotion gives birth to evil. Man needs to fill his life with the Word of God, to be able to forgive and love at all times. This will help us to conquer evil.
