How to save money and eat healthy

Most of the good things in life are free or inexpensive! This goes true with staying healthy. Being healthy is actually a relatively cheap process if you could realize that going back to the basics is a must. Exercising entails minimal fees. Not smoking and not drinking alcohol could save you money and ensures that your lungs and your liver are free from lung cancer and irreversible alcoholic liver cirrhosis.

Likewise the natural foods are much cheaper than those commercially prepared. Buying these natural foods instead of the processed ones could eventually save you a large amount of money.

What types of food would be able to save you money and at the same time make you healthy?

Fruits
These are cheap and could be easily adopted in your budget. Instead of buying those expensive special meat cuts and chops, (which could add to your triglyceride levels, a substance which is bad for the heart), you will be spending less for a bag of apples, or apricot or a bunch of bananas, which are healthy foods.

These are all good food that could take the place of any meal during the day. They provide essential nutrients, phytochemicals, and anti-toxins which are significant for good health

Vegetables

These are cheap and should be bought fresh and unprocessed. Processed vegetables have decreased vitamins and nutrients.

Instead of high fat pork or chicken meat, vegetables are cheap and contain lots of vital nutrients just like fruits. This type of food decreases the likelihood of cancer, hypertension, and several heart diseases.

Whole grained wheat or oats

These are cheap and rich in fiber and vital vitamins like vitamin B 12. They are also a good source of energy. They could replace whole meals just by adding skimmed milk or non fat milk. Food with high calories like fat and dairy products then is put aside. It is like killing two birds with one stone: you save money and you stay healthy.

Avoid eating fast food snacks which are expensive and unhealthy too.

Nuts and legumes These are good nutritious food too. They are inexpensive and are a vital source of proteins, anti-toxins and fibers. Foods with these components are good for the health. Legumes however are prohibited with those having gouty arthritis as they exacerbate the condition.

You should be aware of these inexpensive but healthy foods and start eating them so you could maintain good health and save money too.
