Make sure that it fits well in your face and that the periphery would seal well. This will prevent water from going into the goggles that can affect your vision.

It is also important to consider the place where you plan to snorkel. Make sure you avoid dangerous areas. Make sure you avoid areas known to have many sea urchins and sharks since they could really put you in danger.
