Poetry: The fall of Rome

by Ryan Cruz

Created on: September 29, 2008

Lads and ladies of all ages,
listed in these here pages,
is the document of roman candles,
that have a lost explanation.
Burn Rome, Burn!
till the twilight has begun,
Burn Rome, Burn!
till thy damage has been done!

Does thy Caesar have no mercy,
he has slain those in a hurry,
to simply leave this place,
I can't stand his face!
Burn Rome, Burn!
till the twilight has begun,
Burn Rome, Burn!
till thy damage has been done!

What have we done!
Our city lost in flames!
Now it is us that holds no mercy,
we are the ones to blame,
Burn Rome, Burn!
till the twilight has begun,
Burn Rome, Burn!
now thy damage has been done!
