Poetry: On poems

by Ryan Cruz

Created on: September 28, 2008

I need an idea,
for a poem,
happy or blue,
angry will do too.

How about war,
mystical beast,
silent shadows,
or dying screams.

Talking to trees,
history rewritten.

too many possible themes,
not one that suits me,
I know!

A poem of confusion,
a misdirected illusion,
a poem of poems,
how about this one!

This one will do for now,
not one about an angry cow,
I'm not saying how,
next time, I will try harder,
that I vow.
