Today was a good day
I talked to sister Jan
I hadn't heard her voice in months
I wished her happy birthday
She thanked me for remembering
Today was a good day
The breeze was soft and warm
As we drove along the countryside
Enjoying the autumn colors
Nature at its best
Today was a good day
The buffet we enjoyed together
Just you and me
Oblivious to everyone around us
Talking about the children and grandchildren
Today was a good day
I went to 5 o'clock mass
I just had to say thank you
To my lord and savior
For the day he sent my way
It truely was
A very good day

Some days are

Hoping the sun will set

My friends are here
A good day to ride around
The wind can blow my hair
The sun can warm my very soul
And tan my skin so brown
My friends can wonder
