She Had Me At Hello

One might be led to believe
That when falling in love
It must take some time
Or your heart will be crushed.
Well, I forsook that theroy
Soon enough
When I found that girl
My mind was dreaming of.
There was something in the look in her eyes
And my heart pounded more as it clicked in my mind.
I tried to talk, but as I started to speak,
The words refused to come out and my body got weak:

That's when she said "Hello."

"Hello", "Hello"
That's all that it took to make me know what I want.
"Hello", "Hello"
When she spoke that word, I knew our love had begun.
So when people ask me
What told me
That she was the one,
I'll say she had me at "Hello."

I lost my desire to eat,
My heart rate shot up,
And I almost couldn't
Believe my luck.
All that passion inside,
Flooding me so soon,
Sent a chill to my bones;
I didn't know what to do.
There was something in the look in her eyes

She had the power, and she settled for me.
She stole the words from my mouth and then spoke them to me:
She just said "Hello."

"Hello", "Hello"

"Hello", "Hello"
When she spoke that word, I knew our love had begun.
So when people ask me
What told me
That she was the one,
I'll say she had me at "Hello."

So, when one day
Love greets you
And you were paralyzed like me,
I won't say
"I told you."
But I hope then you'll see.
"Hello", "Hello"
"Hello", "Hello"
"Hello", "Hello"
"Hello", "Hello"

"Hello", "Hello"
That's all that it took to make me know what I want.
"Hello", "Hello"
When she spoke that word, I knew our love had begun.
So when people ask me
What told me
That she was the one,
I'll say she had me at "Hello."
Because she had me at "Hello."
And I'm glad she said "Hello."
