Blood Test
Nervously I wait in line
Hear a shout, was it me that time?
Nurse appears and calls my name
In you go, just in there
Nervously I enter room
Lay up on that bed for me
Make yourself comfy
Now lets see what vein we need
Ah there's a nice one she anounced
Slaps my vein to make it dance
A little prick is all you'll feel
Needle starts to enter me
OUCH! not sore at all you know
Crimson tide begins to flow
How much more does she need
Atlantic ocean, the deep blue sea
Nervously waiting for the end
Wait she announced, tides gone out
I'll have to start all over again
"I faint"

Blood Sisters
Side by side, in dark they lay, two sisters bound by blood.
Daughters of the darkness, the two were joined
Blood of Life
What ran down her arm
Was the blood of life
It dripped from her fingertips
Losing every bit of memory
Wash it Away
She's watching the roads
with light flickering wet,
the color turning her jeans dark.
She'd wash them but she'd
Family blood cannot be denied,
even if our birth certificates are destroyed in fire;
as a result, kin is a bond,
