"And I'll survive."(A Trijan Refrain)
Oh slumber deep, dark slumber deep
that grips with silent stance;
hold me, touch me, across me sweep
to teach me peace's dance.
Each day I die, to live again,
to sing of future's soft refrains...
each day I die,
each day I die
so this darkness shall not remain.
Oh slumber deep, dark slumber deep,
all hopes have turned to tears
and you have caused this heart to weep
o'er many lonely years.
Where once I dwelt...and now I hide
to keep these feelings safe inside.
Where once I dwelt,
where once I dwelt,
this soul now needs to walk with pride.
Oh slumber deep, dark slumber deep
that bathes closed eyes in pain;
night's arms hold tight, for me to keep,
to shelter me from rain.
Yet I'll survive this dank despair,
to search anew and find him there...
and I'll survive,
and I'll survive
to recapture our love's affair.
