Some of the Best black-and-white movies can bring us back in time to experience the brilliance of fine actors and directors. They share with us the mystery,joy,excitement,suspens e,sadness,and even anger with their audience.

My list of black and white movies of all time will bring back memories of classic screenplays that made their place in history by being impressionable and unforgettable.

Here's my list:

Casablanca - 1942 Ingrid Bergman,Humphrey Bogart. It's an Academy Award - winning romantic melodrama that is regarded as one of the greatest in history of American Cinema. Bogart plays, Rick a cynical political American cafe owner living in Casablanca. Rick's lost love,Isla shows up who believed her husband had died in a concentration camp. Humphrey Bogart's famous phrase comes from this movie,"Here's looking at you,kid".

12 Angry Men - Henry Fonda It's about a courtroom drama. The film takes place within a small New York City jury room,"on the hottest day of the year",as twelve men debate the fate of a young defendant charged with murdering his father.Henry Fonda,Juror #8 is the only one to hold out. 12 Angry Men balances one piece of evidence,against another that seems contradictory. It's an excellent Agatha Christie's thriller.

The Wizard of Oz - 1939 L.Frank Baum's children's book "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz adapted to film. In 1933 it transitioned from Black and White to technicolor. MGM casted Judy Garland as Dorothy. It's a heart warming story of good verses evil, with whimsical character's,elaborate,and fairytale sets and dazzeling visual effects. This movie is one of the all time greats.

Some Like It Hot - 1959 Jack Lemmon,Marilyn Monroe,Tony Curtis It's considered as one of the best comedies in the American Film Institutes list of 100 Greatest Comedies. The film is about 2 guys desperate for jobs.One character put on a black face to get a job,and the other one dressed up as a woman.

The characters Joe and Jerry,are played by Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon who are unemployed musicians who became witnesses to a crime. Marilyn Monroe was central to the movie's success. The beach scenes were supposedly set in Florida. They were actually shot at the Hotel Del Coronado set on the Pacific Ocean near San Diego.

The Birds - 1963 An Alfred Hitchcock classic about thousands of attacking birds. Set in a Northern California town suddenly sieged by thousands of birds.

King Kong - 1933 It's about a gigantic ape captured on a remote
