It's Time
I sit quiet in the dark,
Your breath weakly fills the air.
You were once so big, so strong,
Now time and disease have worn
Down the giant you once were.
The body doesn't last but only
The soul. Your soul is going to
Live forever, in my mind in my
Dreams. Now it is a matter of
Time, it always is, time to go,
Time to start over, time to die.
The nurse comes over to me now,
Asks if I am ready. I will never
be really ready, I want more, but
At last the clock has caught up to
My dreams. I say, "Yes, It's Time."
