Time never stands still, though we may feel that way sometimes.
Dreams I can't see for you or me, like in a nursery rhyme.
Life goes on and dark before dawn is the usual way things go.
I only dream 'cause there's no going back to the days of old.
Shadows in the way of the sun each day wherever I go.
Ceaselessly beckoning the day of reckoning for my sad soul.
Can I change magically the life spent tragically wasted?
Or do I accept, without regret, what I have tasted?

Amongst a field of roses
Always trying to reach the other side
For the sake of every chance
