The ideal workplace

If home is the only place left to work, work with it not against it. Growing your own home space for workplace needs to be thought out first. Make sure you have all the cable, phone and electrical outlets you need spaced apart correctly. Then add your furnishings according to all of the proper hook-ups for your HDTV, phone and Internet.

Strategically place all your work area for work and not all for just play. It has to include a duo purpose of both work and play. During your breaks you won't have to flee work workplace. You can stay put without alienating work altogether. You can still answer the office phone while relaxing for a while.

The ideal workplace encompasses both comfort and efficiency. One has to spend many hours at this workplace and it has to be accommodating. If a friend or relative call you, one can still receive those same calls at the home office. If UPS or FedEx rings your door bell one can still receive those same packages at the home office.

If a person has a hard time traveling around they can still work from their home base. A home base operation is good but there are still times when you have to eventually venture out. No one person can hardly stay inside forever. The ideal workplace can always be home based. Try it sometime. I always work from my apartment and yet I have a duel purpose media center right in my living room.

There is a cost for a media center at home. So far, I haven't been able to write-off any equipment as tax write-offs or business expenses. I paid cash for all my components and furnishings. This has been a huge expense thus far. Plus, I don't get any points for depreciation either. This is costly and out of pocket costs.

But at the same time, I use my media center for leisure activities also. I listen to my music CDs. I play online computer games alone or with partners. I watch my HDTV news and movies mostly. It is nice that I can enjoy my ideal workplace for writing this article. I write and donate my articles on the Internet. Maybe you have a hobby that will turn into a career at your ideal workplace.
